From black hair to purple hair

Just wanna share about how i dyed my hair purple last month.

After accepting the fact that i couldn't have purple hair without having to bleach it, i decided to just go for it.

So i went to boots to get this bleaching kit from Bleach London:

It comes with a reincarnation mask which is incredible.

This is my hair color before bleaching it. My hair condition wasn't really good to start with, after numerous chemical products.

At first i had no guts to bleach all of it so i bleached just the half of it. Was quite happy with the outcome so i felt that i should just bleach all of it.

I bought another box of bleach for that. This time i used the high lift bleaching powder from Jerome Russell and its developer. Worst decision ever. Not saying that it is not good at all. In fact, it lightens my hair more than Bleach London but dear all, you should never use different brands of bleach for your hair. I was so stupid, so learn from my mistake. Stupid mistake. You would understand what i am saying from the following pictures.

You can see that different brands have different bleaching power (is that what you call it?). When you are not sure of the outcome, don't risk it. Again, i wasn't thinking straight from switching brands for different parts of my hair. I looked like a mushroom for a day.

Within three days, i bleached my hair thrice. I know, huge mistake, but i am never a person with much patience. I couldn't even look into the mirror when my hair was this golden and orangey and patchy. So i bleached strands of my hair again, with the hope to blend them in a little bit. Sadly, it didn't make much difference.

After that i dyed my hair with La Riche's plum and violet, got it from bluebanana

The purple sadly, did not last long. It faded after a few days, maybe 4 washes. Ridiculous, i know. I have never had this problem with La Riche before. I used Flamingo pink last time and i lasted for months. So now it has faded to green. It did not go back to the fugly gold, fortunately.

Alright, end of my hair story, and a big fat thanks to my love who had helped me through the whole hair dying process. I wouldn't have done it without u.
