Dad was not used to staying in a hostel haha. I thought he would like it as it was originally a shophouse. Alright, next time i would think properly while booking for the accommodation with my parents.

Saw this book in the reading area but it wasn't written in english! 

  

very clean toilets and shower rooms

The triple room - big and clean, with a queen bed and a single bed, has windows and a clothes rack. Comfy beds. As there were four of us, we added one extra mattress in the room. However, sometimes noise from the street is audible from the triple room.

I have also stayed in the female dorm before. As compared to the triple room, the female dorm is smaller, with two bunk bed and lockers, but it has no windows.

I absolutely enjoy the stay!
This was my second stay in the old penang guesthouse! Got to meet many people from different parts of the world. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. They even recognized me! They would recommend places to visit, the routes or some of the local events happening in the island. 

Old penang is super cozy and provides a really good backpacking experience! I made the room reservation three months ago. Can u imagine?
